. . . will encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Chinese Shar- Pei and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection; to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America as the only standard of excellence by which Chinese Shar-Pei shall be judged; to do all in it's power to protect and advance the interest of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, fun matches, obedience trials and performance events; to conduct dog shows and matches under the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club; to educate all those who are involved with the Chinese Shar-Pei and the general public about the breed and responsible ownership.
